In today’s marketplace, almost every new biodiesel facility has to include providing or securing a percentage of their feed-stock. This is becoming a requirement instead of a good idea when it comes to financing.
Process Concepts has recently built a 10mm/gpy biodiesel plant that is now completing a 250 tpd soy oil extraction plant on the same site. This collocation of both facilities increases profitability for the owners.
In addition to an oil extraction plant is the need for a crude oil refining unit. This unit has the capability of oil degumming and neutralization. The phosphorus content is completely removed creating a biodiesel ready refined oil. The free fatty acids or FFA’s can be completely removed as a soap stock or left intake and converted into methyl-esters with an esterification unit in your biodiesel facility.
